About

Katie Robinson is a writer of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry; a doodler; a photographer; and an educator. She lives in coastal Virginia with her husband, two science-minded sons, and ridiculous number of animals (three dogs, one cat, one crested gecko, and five chickens). Her work is published or forthcoming in JMWW, Stone Circle Review, Harpy Hybrid Review, Heimat Review, and Last Light: Apocalypse Poems.

Katie’s work spans across genres and styles (sometimes absurd and surreal, sometimes traditional) as she grapples with themes of motherhood, dystopias, violence against women, mental unraveling, Southern writing, place in physical bodies, and more. Some of her literary influences include Amy Hempel, Grace Paley, Kurt Vonnegut, Joyce Carole Oats, Flannery O’Connor, and Kelly Link. Katie holds a doctorate in Curriculum, an M.F.A. in Fiction, and an M.A. in English.
